Dietzel Enterprises has been in business more than two decades, with nearly a century of combined drilling and management experience. The office and yard sit at 26363 Ida Street in Valley, Nebraska. The work does not stay in Nebraska.
Who we are
We own the drills, excavators, loaders, and lifting equipment to perform the work associated with caissons, direct embedment, pad and pier foundations, and slab-on-grade. We can install drilled caissons from 12 inches to 14 feet in diameter and more than 100 feet deep in clay, sand, rock, and boulder-laden soils.
Using slurry shoring, steel casing, or a dry hole, we have installed thousands of caissons and pad foundations. Industrial work taught us to make the tools, forms, and equipment a volume job actually needs — without getting sloppy about safety.
Safety
We stand down twice a year and walk the safety manual again. Every new hire gets that manual. Every field and shop employee reviews and signs a task-specific Job Hazard Analysis every day.
Every project gets an Emergency Response Plan. Field crews complete a site-specific Pre-Drill Setup that looks at the site, power lines, and utilities before the bit turns. Management keeps scoring the procedures, not the slogan.
Quality assurance / quality control
The Director of Operations, Crew Lead, and Equipment Manager run a Pre-Construction Briefing on every project: scope, iron, material, and whatever else that job will punish you for forgetting.
Crews work off a company web site — the same app behind Sign In — with site information, contacts, construction documents, maps, and the site-specific safety and emergency packet. On the ground, before any foundation goes in, the crew fills out the Pre-Drill Setup again.
Our employees
The people on the iron are the company. They are some of the most experienced hands in this trade. We depend on their cadence on a job site. We run a team so the hole stays safe when the dirt does not cooperate. The work that holds is a tribute to that crew and to the people who send them.
We self-perform the work. Depending on schedule and size we use proven rebar contractors who can supply, tie, deliver, and install. We will outsource concrete pumping, large excavations, lifting, and spoil haul when that is the safe, timely way to finish. We keep tried relationships with vendors in Nebraska and across a large part of the United States, and we still look for more when a job needs them.
